After three years, we’ve outgrown our current web digs and we’re getting a facelift. It’s high time we got a new image on the web and we think we’ve found one. What started out as a binocular blog has evolved into a backyard birding site and we needed to be able to reflect that. The current theme we’re using, while it has gone through tons of changes and modifications, is just not capable enough for where we need to take this blog.
For our makeover we’ve selected the Socrates theme for WordPress. The thing that impressed me most right out of the box was how easy it was to customize. And we’re not talking about changing text color either. Everything from designing your own menus to complete control over affiliate offers and being able to keep up with our social media as well. All in a really nice looking package too. Anybody who is considering upgrading their WordPress blog should think seriously about getting Socrates.
