The Most Disgusted I’ve Been In A While

By Jeff Leave a Comment

Started Like Any Other Shopping Trip

I was at Walmart the other day picking up some suet and corn for my backyard friends. While checking out, the salesperson asked me what I did with the corn cobs I was buying. I told him about the squngee and squirrel feeder in my backyard. I told him how much fun it was to watch the squirrels jump on the squnqee and bounce up and down. He agreed that must be a hoot and then he related to me a story that just made me mad and sick instantly.

He told me about a customer he had that said he liked to put out bird seed just so he could sit and shoot them with a BB gun. Yes, you read that right! Some depraved a**h*le actually puts out bird seed so he can get his jollies shooting whatever comes to his backyard to get it. I told the clerk that person was a sorry excuse for a human and that, sadly, they’re probably not far from putting candy in their backyards to attract children. He told me he got a bad feeling when this SOB was telling him what he did for kicks.

The most horrifying aspect of this is that a BB gun is much more likely to wound and not kill whatever he hits with it. The poor creature is much more likely to suffer until it died of a system infection or worse.

Why Am I Telling You This?

Because I try to focus on the positive aspects of life. We have enough negativity bombarding us every day. Unfortunately, we also have a lot of bad going on. When I encounter it, I have to find a way to get it out of my system and writing is very therapeutic in that regard.

So, please excuse my self-indulgent rant.

Do you know any people like this? Have you ever had to call the authorities on anybody in your city or neighborhood?
