Birding Resource From Jake and Jessica
Last month, I was contacted by Jessica B. who was nice enough to tell me two things. One, her son, Jake, had just joined his school’s Bird Watching Club and had found my site helpful. Secondly, that he found another great birding resource he wanted to share with me.
Anybody who’s been following me for any time at all knows I love reader involvement. I took a look at the page URL she had sent me and was floored by the sheer enormity of this resource. I just HAD to share it with you.
It’s a page that has just about anything a new or experienced birder would want to know. I’m sure you’ll find it just as useful as I did.
Here’s the skinny.
The Young Birder’s Backyard Guide
The article was written and compiled by Andrea Davis, a writer for Improvenet. As you can see from her recent portfolio, Andrea loves to write about a number of topics homeowners would find useful. And not just the nuts and bolts, home improvement stuff either. The beekeeping guide comes to mind.
I put the article through its paces to make sure the articles linked to were quality articles. I decided it was a birding resource my BirdOculars readers would appreciate. So without any further ado, let me give you the link.

Let Me Hear From You!
If you agree that this is a great guide for anybody interested in birding please share this article using the buttons below. I’d also like to suggest that you leave a comment for Andrea on the Improvenet site. Tell her how much you enjoyed it. I’m sure she’d love to know how much you liked it.
Myself, I’m going to add it to my “Cool Sites” list right now.
Finally, thank you again Jessica and Jake for your kindness and time to pass along this great birding resource!
Best,
Jeff
Thank you! I appreciate the tone of the articles. Often in the birding world there is a bit of a patronizing tone and it intimidates new comers. You’re page/articles lack that condescension and I just wanted to say – thank you!!
Thank YOU, Ingrid!
I believe you’ve made my day!
